We're back! Make art and support the bees! We'll create a piece of framed art, using a raw muslin canvas and will be "flower pounding." Certain blossoms will transfer their natural dyes onto natural fibers, and express their color directly through pressure, leaving an imprint of the bloom behind. We'll be in the greenhouse at Masterson's next to the apiary and use flowers grown right in their gardens. A portion of the class will go towards Masterson's, helping the work they do to promote education and do their part to save the bees.

Students will go home with 1 framed 8x10 and 1 unframed pre-mordanted piece of art that can be framed separately, hung or used as a textile.

AGES: 16 and over

EXPERIENCE: Beginner. All experience levels are welcome
