Take a few moments to just stand and quietly watch the front of the pollinator houses in this area. At different times of the season, you’ll see different types of native bees making their homes in the various openings in the tubes or logs.

Watch for these guys!

Watch for these solitary native bees during the warm months of summer. The females will collect pieces of soft leaves (like hostas and roses) and use them to make cocoons for their babies.

These cute little bees are most often seen in the early parts of spring, once temperatures hit a consistent 55 degrees. These bees use mud to seal up their babies, keeping them safe until the next warm season comes around.
