Craft Class - Beeswax Soap

craft class soap

When you're a beekeeper, you need to think up good ways to use the beeswax that you end up with at the end of each season. One of my favorite things to make is beeswax and honey soap.

Soap making sounds intimidating at first, with the heating of oils and mixing up the lye solution, but it's actually pretty straight-forward. I've tried many different recipes over the past few years, and have come up with one I really like. It creates a creamy bar that lathers nicely and doesn't turn to mush in the shower.

We'll make a batch of this cold-process soap together and everyone will go home with a cured bar (previously made) plus some of the batch we make together.

Class Cost: $25/person (payable at the door)
