• Getting more water flow

Continuous duty waterfall pumps are designed to be very energy efficient and push large volumes of water, but not under pressure. In other words, restricting the flow in any way simply reduces the volume that is delivered.

The most common restrictions we see are the use of too many elbows in the line and the use of too small diameter tubing. Your tubing size should always be at least as big as the pump outlet size. We typically use one size larger to reduce friction loss even more. Additionally, always use flexible tubing, it bends easily without kinking and greatly reduces or eliminates the need for 90 degree elbows which reduce water flow.

Following these simple ‘rules’ will save you money in both pump cost and electricity cost because you won’t need to purchase an over-size pump to make up for unnecessary volume loss.
